DRAGO

keep Ear Loss and Kernel Loss to a minimum

Every growing and harvest season brings it owns challenges. Conditions can vary from flood to drought creating everything from uniform stands to a down-tangled mess. Drago is up to any challenge mother nature can throw your way. If you got corn in the field, Drago Series II with Kernel Capture Technology™will get it. Uniquely designed with an oversized idler sprocket that extends farther in front of the row unit with aggressive overlapping fingers that captures the down corn and brings it in to be harvested.

Harvest First… Chop Second

Drago’s number one goal is to get you as much yield as possible. The chopper is designed to chop the stalk after the ear is removed. This ensures that the ear is not lost from the stalk being chopped too soon in difficult conditions like down corn. Drago gives you the ability to add choppers later without having to trade heads. This also makes your resale more valuable with this flexible option. Installation and removal of the gearbox is done with just four bolts and a gasket, minimizing replacement down time in the field.

MINIMIZE EAR AND KERNEL LOSS AUTOMATICALLY

Reducing kernel loss with today’s drier corn varieties starts at the knife rolls. Longer rolls allow the ear to be pulled down slower with less impact, reducing butt-shelling and kernel loss. Fully Automatic Deck Plates that adjust on both sides to every stalk making thousands of decisions for you across each row. University Studies show that if deck plates are off by 1/8th inch, losses can reach up to 4 bushels an acre. Stalk, ear sizes and yield can vary greatly across the field from 200+ down to 0. Drago’s deck plates independently respond to your stalk sizes keeping them tight to the plant and perfectly stripping even the smallest ear.

GREAT CHOPPING OPTION THAT DOESN’T CUT YIELDS

Uniquely designed with an oversized idler sprocket that extends farther in front of the row unit with aggressive overlapping fingers that captures the down corn and brings it in to be harvested. Angled gathering chains from larger sprockets in the front and smaller sprockets in the back create an aggressive picking action while releasing the plant to the back of the knife rolls and minimizing trash to the combine. Drago allows you to position your gathering chains closer to the ground from 17 to an ideal 23 degrees for down corn versus the competition which can run higher up to 30 degrees. This gives you the optimum position for your gathering chains while creating better feeding of the stalk with the lower angle.
