The original on-highway truck from Cat, the CT660 is the product of countless hours spent on the road speaking with owner/operators about what their ideal truck would be. Powered by a six-cylinder CT13 engine and a CX31 automatic transmission, the CT660 is built for operator comfort and energy-efficient performance, whether it’s being used in construction, mining/quarry, concrete, manufacturing, heavy hauling or any other vocational application.

The latest member of the Cat on-highway family, the CT681 semi truck — for sale in WV’s Walker Machinery territory — has been designed specifically to meet the heavy hauling needs of today’s businesses. A set-forward axle design features 114-inch bumper-to-back-of-cab (BBC) and 28-inch bumper-to-axle (BA) lengths. An integrated front frame extension makes it easy to connect plows, winches, pumps or other attachments. Available in 6×4 day cab configuration, the CT681 is perfect for hauling heavy loads or working in extreme conditions.

While the CT660 and CT681 vary in their specifications, both share a number of common features unique to Cat semi trucks. These include:

  • Aluminum alloy cab construction: Lightweight to maximize payloads, but incorporating advanced materials and design concepts to reduce noise and vibrations, Cat semi trucks have been built for operator comfort. Ergonomic controls reduce fatigue and improve safety and productivity, even on long drives or busy job sites.
  • Modular design: To improve serviceability, Cat semi trucks feature modular components that can be easily replaced in the field. Minimizing downtime is essential to your profitability. By simplifying maintenance and repairs, Cat trucks save you money every day.
  • Product Link© technology: Product Link takes fleet management into the 21st century. Available on all new Cat semi trucks and other machines, Product Link gives you real-time, wireless access to important availability, health and location data for each of your critical assets.

You already know the quality of Cat® equipment through its many on-the-job applications. In 2011, the company launched its on-highway division with the release of the CT660, the first ever Class 8 Vocational truck to bear the Cat name and pedigree. If you’re in the market to buy a semi truck, Huntington, WV’s Walker Machinery Co. is the only place to sell and service new Cat vehicles.
